Job summary

SSO Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a leading Irish construction company for a Site Engineer in Cork. The role involves setting out and surveying works, coordinating with site management and subcontractors, and ensuring safety, quality and programmes are delivered on time.

The successful candidate will have a Civil Engineering degree or diploma, 3+ years' experience in site engineering, proficiency in AutoCAD, GPS and Total Station, and a full clean driving licence.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a Site Engineer role within the construction industry.
• Strong setting out and surveying experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, GPS, Total Station, and other engineering software.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of Irish building regulations and construction standards.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Set out and survey construction works in accordance with project specifications and drawings.
• Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and design teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures on site.
• Maintain site records, quality assurance documentation, and progress reports.
• Coordinate daily site activities and assist with project scheduling.
• Review technical drawings and specifications, identifying and resolving issues as they arise.
• Conduct quality inspections and ensure work is completed to the required standards.
• Assist in the management of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Support project delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.

My Client are a leading Irish construction company delivering high-quality residential, commercial, healthcare, educational, and civil engineering projects throughout Ireland. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline in Cork, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Engineer to join our team.

The Role

As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of construction projects, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with the Site Management team, subcontractors, and design consultants to coordinate site activities and maintain programme schedules.
