Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking Site Engineers in Cork to oversee large-scale residential, commercial and industrial projects with a leading Tier 1 building contractor. You will ensure quality, oversee site personnel, and verify compliance with specifications and regulations.

Role includes setting-out from drawings, coordinating with subcontractors, planning to meet programmes, and maintaining safety and records on site.

Qualifications

• Third level qualification in Engineering or related discipline.
• 2-3 years post-qualification experience minimum.
• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Self-motivating to deliver on safety, quality & programme.
• Full driving license.

Responsibilities

• Setting-out from engineers' drawings, site surveys, as-built drawings.
• Reading & interpreting drawings for layouts, materials measurement.
• Work with subcontractors/general workforce on site.
• Plan works efficiently to meet programme targets.
• Liaise with client's representatives/Design Team members.
• Ensure works meet Health and Safety standards.
• Ensure work quality standards.
• Ordering and control of materials on site.
• Maintain site records as required.

Site Engineers required to join a leading Tier 1 Building Contractor in Cork for new large-scale residential and commercial and industrial projects.You will be overseeing and ensuring high level quality work and ensuring it complies with the regulations and the general and specific specifications of the project. You will also be working closely with the site personnel to deliver the project to the highest possible standard.

Role:

• Setting-out from engineers' drawings, site surveys, as-built drawings
• Reading & interpreting drawings for layouts, materials measure etc.
• Working with subcontractors/general workforce on site
• Planning works in an efficient manner to ensure programme targets are achieved
• Liaising with client's representatives/Design Team members as appropriate
• Ensuring that all works are carried out to the highest Health and Safety standards.
• Ensuring work is carried out to the highest of quality standards.
• Ordering and control of materials on site.
• Maintaining the site records as required

Requirements:

• Completed a third level qualification in Engineering or related discipline
• 2-3 years post-qualification experience minimum
• Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivating to deliver on safety, quality & programme
• Strong IT Skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Full driving license

Salary

• Salary circa €65k - €75k DOE
• Vehicle/Fuel allowance
