Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment in Ireland seeks an experienced operations leader to guide a multi-skilled team in a proactive, hands-on role. The position reports to the Senior Operations Manager and is a 12-month temporary contract, requiring a focus on safety, quality and production planning.

You will drive continuous improvement, manage priorities in a fast-paced environment and ensure effective communication within the operations group.

Qualifications

Proven experience leading a multi-skilled operations team.
Minimum 5 years in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Third level qualification in business or technical discipline.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable in a matrixed, ambiguous environment.
Ability to manage multiple conflicting demands and priorities.

Responsibilities

Lead and motivate a multi-skilled Operations group in a team-based environment.
Ensure daily operations comply with safety, quality and environmental standards.
Execute daily and weekly production plans to meet business commitments.
Complete corrective and preventive actions to avoid repeats of defects and audit non-conformances.
Maintain high levels of communication within the Operations team through regular routines.
Drive continuous improvement using lean principles and systems.
