Job summary

Celestica in Galway, Ireland seeks a Maintenance Technician to set up, maintain and support mechanical equipment on the shift team. You will work to ensure line uptime, assist with changes and problem-solving to meet production goals.

The role requires hands-on technical ability, strong English communication, and flexible participation in training and improvement projects. This is a full-time on-site position in Galway.

Qualifications

• Hands-on knowledge of setup, lubrication, operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting / problem solving skills.
• High level of hands-on technical ability.
• Good written and verbal communication skills (in English).
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Commitment to manufacturing excellence and safety.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and fix mechanical equipment failures.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance per guidance.
• Maintain maintenance and tracking records.
• Interact with teams to coordinate repairs.
• Support targets for uptime, speed, yield and quality.
• Attend shift meetings and provide status updates.
• Provide inputs into spare parts usage.
• Support engineering and improvement projects.
• Assist other Technicians and Operators.
