Job summary

Celestica Galway seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to set up, maintain and troubleshoot mechanical equipment on the night shift. You will work closely with the shift team to resolve issues, improve uptime and support speed, yield and quality objectives.

The role requires hands-on mechanical skills, strong problem-solving and clear English communication. 1–2 years in a similar environment is typical, with training provided. Celestica values safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Hands-on knowledge of setup, lubrication, operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• High level of hands-on technical ability.
• Good written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and fix mechanical equipment failures.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance as per supervision and engineering guidance.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance and tracking records.
• Interact with other teams to coordinate equipment repairs.
• Support the team to meet performance targets for uptime, speed, yield and quality.
• Attend shift meetings and provide status updates.
