Job summary

Celestica, Galway, Ireland, is seeking an Operations Engineering Support 1 on the night shift (8pm-8am, Wednesday to Friday and every second Saturday). The role focuses on hands-on maintenance, machine setup, and engineering support to meet uptime, speed, yield and quality targets.

The candidate will perform preventative maintenance, record keeping, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve equipment effectiveness and support upgrade projects.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of technician experience in a very mechanical environment.
• Experience with setup, lubrication and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Good written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and fix mechanical equipment failures.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance as per supervision and engineering guidance.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance and tracking records.
• Interact with other teams to co-ordinate equipment repairs.
• Support the team to meet performance targets for uptime, speed, yield and quality.
• Support good communication in the shift and between shifts.
• Attend shift meetings and give status updates.
• Provide details and inputs into spare parts usage.
• Support Engineering and Continuous Improvement projects.
• Support training and assist other Technicians and Operators.
