Job summary

Celestica Galway is seeking a Maintenance Technician to set up, maintain and support mechanical equipment on the shift. You'll work closely with the team to resolve issues and drive uptime, speed, yield and quality, with focus on safe, reliable operation.

Day-to-day duties include troubleshooting, planned maintenance, keeping records, coordinating repairs, and supporting improvement projects. The role requires hands-on skills, teamwork and clear English communication.

Qualifications

• Mechanical setup, maintenance and fault diagnosis of equipment on the shift.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and tracking records and liaise with teams.
• Strong troubleshooting and hands-on technical ability; good English communication.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and fix mechanical equipment failures.
• Perform planned preventive maintenance per guidance.
• Maintain up-to-date maintenance records.
• Coordinate equipment repairs with other teams.
• Support targets for uptime, speed, yield, quality.
• Support shift communications and handovers.
• Attend shift meetings and provide status updates.
• Provide inputs on spare parts usage.
• Support engineering and Continuous Improvement projects.
• Assist training of other Technicians and Operators.
