Job summary

Cheshire Ireland seeks an experienced Service Manager to lead our residential service in South Wicklow. As PIC, you will ensure high-quality, person-centred care, regulatory compliance, safeguarding and continuous improvement.

You will manage a multidisciplinary team, oversee staffing, budgets and relationships with families, staff and external stakeholders, driving service development and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• You will have a relevant third-level or professional qualification.
• At least three years' management experience within disability services, personal social services or healthcare.
• Knowledge of current HIQA regulations and safeguarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage our residential service in South Wicklow, ensuring excellent standards of person-centred support.
• Provide visible, effective leadership to multidisciplinary and frontline teams.
• Manage staffing, rostering, recruitment, performance, development and retention.
• Act as Person in Charge (PIC), ensuring compliance with HIQA requirements and relevant legislation and standards.
• Promote a Human Rights-Based approach and ensure the rights, choices and wellbeing of people using our services remain at the heart of service delivery.
• Lead safeguarding, risk management, quality improvement and audit action plans.
• Build strong relationships with individuals, families, advocates, staff, the HSE and external stakeholders.
• Monitor budgets and resources, ensuring accountability and value for money.
• Drive service development, change and continuous improvement in partnership with regional and national colleagues.
