Job summary

Flow Technology in Charleville is seeking a Service Manager to lead the service division, driving performance and sustainable revenue growth across the team. You will shape strategy, manage client relationships, and partner with sales on pricing while guiding maintenance delivery and safety compliance.

The role requires extensive experience in mechanical/process systems, strong leadership and financial acumen, and the ability to travel to customer sites locally and nationwide.

Qualifications

  • More than 10 years’ industry experience with mechanical and process systems in a busy service environment.
  • Experience managing service teams and growing revenue streams.
  • Strong financial management skills, including P&L experience.
  • Relevant third-level or craft technical qualification, or relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and safety guidelines.
  • Relevant team leadership and development experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure and use your own initiative.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites locally and nationwide.
  • Availability to work outside normal hours when required during customer process shutdowns.

Responsibilities

  • Identify new business opportunities and develop plans to grow service revenue year-on-year.
  • Build strong client relationships to secure repeat business and long-term contracts.
  • Work with sales and senior management on pricing strategies and proposals.
  • Monitor budgets, margins and costs to ensure profitability.
  • Prepare forecasts and performance reports for senior leadership.
  • Oversee the scheduling and delivery of service and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality protocols and client requirements.
  • Provide leadership, direction and coaching to the service team, including apprentices.
  • Support the Business Unit project team in planning works.
  • Organise effective training and development programmes for team members.
  • Manage relevant HR administration, including timesheets, holidays, performance reviews and salary reviews.

Established in 1978, Flow Technology is a privately owned process engineering company based in Charleville, Co. Cork. We design, manufacture, install and distribute specialist process equipment and systems across the biopharma, pharmaceutical, beverage, food and dairy industries.

The Role
