Job summary

Uisce Éireann is recruiting a Wastewater Treatment Maintenance Senior Operative (M&E) within the Regional Operations team. The role covers maintenance and repair of treatment and network assets, with out-of-hours standby and overtime where required.

The candidate will perform mechanical and electrical tasks, ensure safety compliance, manage data records, and supervise assignments. A QQI Level 6 qualification and a valid Irish driving licence are preferred.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate or equivalent in one of the listed mechanical disciplines.
• Experience coaching and developing team members.
• Strong health & safety culture and literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Support wastewater treatment maintenance services using electrical and/or mechanical craft skills.
• Undertake mechanical tasks: cleaning, servicing, inspecting and replacing worn parts and components.
• Undertake electrical tasks: fault finding, calibration, and drive/ instrumentation work.
• Adhere to health and safety policies; conduct risk assessments and follow procedures.
• Maintain water network assets and treatment plants per Uisce Éireann policies.
• Complete work orders, H&S records and inventory management using systems.
• Record data on handheld devices and report on asset information.
• Provide oversight on works involving 3rd party contractors and mentor team members.
