Job summary

Uisce Éireann is seeking a Water Treatment Senior Operator to manage the operation of water treatment plants, including sludge treatment, and to perform routine maintenance as required. Reporting to the Water Treatment Operations Team Lead, you will coordinate tasks, mentor Operators, ensure health and safety standards, and deliver reliable water treatment services across your assigned area.

You must hold a minimum two years in a similar role, have a valid Irish driving licence, and be prepared

Qualifications

Minimum two years relevant experience in a water treatment role.
Full, clean Irish driving licence is required.
Good knowledge of water and wastewater treatment systems.
Ability to work within health and safety culture and processes.

Responsibilities

Operate water treatment processes and sludge treatment, with routine maintenance.
Coordinate larger tasks with the Water Treatment Ops Team Lead and allocate resources.
Mentor and support Water Treatment Operators as required.
Ensure consistent customer service and manage environmental impacts.
Escalate issues, support audits and incident management to health and safety standards.
Take process samples and respond to SCADA alarms as per procedures.
