Job summary

Uisce Éireann is recruiting for a Wastewater Treatment Operator in the North West region of Ireland. The role operates and maintains wastewater treatment processes across sites, with routine maintenance, asset checks, and SCADA response as part of a large regulatory utility.

The successful candidate will hold secondary education with safety training, a valid Irish driving licence, and experience with IT systems and MS Office. This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Secondary level education or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with IT systems and Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
• Full, clean Irish category B driving licence (additional categories an advantage).
• Experience within health and safety culture and strong safety awareness.
• Experience in water/wastewater operations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment processes and perform routine maintenance.
• Inspect, monitor, and adjust assets; test and calibrate equipment.
• Record quality parameters and respond to SCADA/telemetry alerts.
• Conduct asset checks and log results in Maximo; raise work orders as needed.
• Support safety procedures and maintain cleanliness and site welfare.
