Job summary

Arista Networks is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer to provide high-level engineering support across Arista products and EOS-enabled networks. The role involves direct collaboration with customers and internal software/hardware teams to resolve complex issues in a lab-driven, non-silo environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–5 years of hands-on networking experience, strong Linux skills, and familiarity with scripting in languages like Python or JavaScript.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of networking industry, products, and protocols.
• 1–5 years hands-on experience in design, deployment, configuration, support, troubleshooting and administration of networking technologies.
• Experience with troubleshooting tools such as IXIA, tcpdump, and Wireshark is highly desired.
• Strong comfort level with Linux is highly desired.
• Familiarity with programming/scripting (C++, Java, Python, Perl, JavaScript, shell) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer product inquiries via telephone or in written, internet-based email.
• Resolve customer concerns raised during installation, operation, maintenance or product application or compatibility matters.
• Interpersonal skills and product knowledge are critical to responding to daily customer-centric activities.
• Troubleshoot problems with hardware equipment and software applications and recommends corrective action.
• Document customer communication and recurring technical issues to support product quality programs and product development.
