Job summary

OCC Construction seeks a Senior Site Engineer to join our expanding team and take a hands-on lead role on site, coordinating with the project team to ensure timely delivery of technical information and high-quality execution.

You will oversee setting out, surveying, temporary works, and health & safety compliance while mentoring junior engineers. The role includes records in Procore and close collaboration with subcontractors to achieve first-time quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a similar role.
• Engineering Degree required.
• Knowledge of construction techniques and competencies in setting out, surveying and temporary works.
• Strong Health & Safety knowledge on Irish construction sites.
• Proven management skills and ability to lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering activities on site, coordinating with the project team to ensure timely delivery of technical information and smooth execution of works.
• Oversee site engineering activities to ensure alignment with drawings, specifications, programme and quality standards.
• Record site activities and project information in Procore (training will be provided).
• Mentor and support junior engineers and site staff, promoting continuous learning and best practices.
• Ensure all works comply with ISO procedures, project quality plans and health & safety requirements.
• Supervise subcontractors and check quality of works.
• Conduct document reviews, scheduling and attend site meetings to ensure overall construction programme.
• Manage project close out, including warranties, guarantees and acceptance of work.

• Manage project close out, including securing warranties, guarantees and acceptance of work.

Qualifications, skills & experience

• 5+ years in a similar role.
• Engineering Degree required.
• Knowledge of construction techniques and be competent in all aspects of setting out, surveying, and temporary works.
• A good understanding of Health & Safety requirements within Irish construction sites.
• Strong Management Skills.
• Full Irish Driving licence.
• Proficiency in MS Office, CAD and document control systems
• Full clean Irish Driving licence required.
