Job summary

3dpersonnels in Offaly is seeking a Senior Site Engineer for a renewable energy project. You will manage engineering activities on site to ensure delivery to programme and quality standards.

You will lead setting out, surveying, and QA processes, provide guidance to engineers and subcontractors, review drawings and specs, and coordinate with design team. €80,000 + package is offered.

Qualifications

• Engineering or construction qualification and 3–5+ years' experience in a similar role.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, surveying and building technology.
• Ability to manage and develop junior engineers and contribute to team success.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities with proven deadlines.
• Procore experience desirable and proficiency in MS Project, Word and Excel.
• Based in Offaly, Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all engineering activities on site to ensure works are delivered to programme and quality standards.
• Lead setting out, surveying, and quality assurance processes, ensuring accurate execution of works.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and building regulations.
• Check and interpret all design documentation and communicate errors or omissions to the design team promptly.
• Prepare, review, and manage RFIs, method statements, inspection requests, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate timely flow of information between design team, subcontractors, and site management.
• Monitor workmanship and materials, identifying quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Assist the Project Manager in establishing and maintaining the construction programme.
• Manage temporary works requirements and ensure compliance with approved designs.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and site staff, promoting professional development.
• Contribute to cost management by ensuring efficient resource use and identifying value engineering opportunities.
• Ensure full compliance with company health & safety procedures and statutory regulations.
• Prepare accurate site records including daily reports, as-built information, quality checklists, and progress updates.
• Assisting with environmental compliance measures.
• Understanding of peat stability and ground conditions.
• Monitoring settlement and drainage measures.
• Implementing environmental controls to prevent peat slippage and contamination.
