Job summary

3D Personnel Ltd is recruiting a Senior Site Engineer for a Renewable Energy project in Co. Offaly.

You will manage and oversee all on-site engineering activities to ensure works are delivered to programme and quality standards, leading setting out, surveying, and QA processes. You will provide technical guidance to engineers and subcontractors, review design documents, manage RFIs and method statements, coordinate information flow, monitor workmanship, and assist in maintaining the construction

Qualifications

• Engineering or construction qualification with 3–5+ years' experience in a similar engineering role.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, surveying, and building technology.
• Ability to manage and develop junior engineers and contribute to team success.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities with proven experience meeting deadlines.
• Procore experience desirable.
• Based in Offaly.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all engineering activities on site to ensure works are delivered to programme and quality standards.
• Lead setting out, surveying, and quality assurance processes, ensuring accurate execution of works.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and building regulations.
• Check and interpret all design documentation and communicate errors or omissions to the design team.
• Prepare, review, and manage RFIs, method statements, inspection requests, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate timely flow of information between design team, subcontractors, and site management.
• Monitor workmanship and materials, identifying quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Assist the Project Manager in establishing and maintaining the construction programme.
• Manage temporary works requirements and ensure compliance with approved designs.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and site staff, promoting professional development.
• Contribute to cost management by ensuring efficient resource use and identifying potential value engineering opportunities.
• Ensure full compliance with company health & safety procedures and statutory regulations.
• Prepare accurate site records including daily reports, as-built information, quality checklists, and progress updates.
• Assisting with environmental compliance measures.
• Understanding of peat stability and ground conditions.
• Monitoring settlement and drainage measures.
• Implementing environmental controls to prevent peat slippage and contamination.
