Job summary

Leading Irish Main Contractor in Dublin is seeking a Senior Site Engineer for a major student accommodation project. You will take ownership of engineering packages, coordinate subcontractors and drive the site from setup to completion.

You will lead QA/QC, review drawings, and work closely with the Project Manager to ensure schedule adherence and high-quality delivery. This role offers career progression and hands-on development on a technically complex build.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience working as a Site Engineer in Ireland.
• Extensive setting out and surveying using Total Station, GPS and Laser Levels.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications and QA/QC procedures.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for engineering and setting out activities across allocated sections of the project.
• Review construction drawings, specifications and technical information, identifying and resolving discrepancies or technical issues before they impact progress.
• Carry out regular inspections and manage QA/QC documentation to ensure works meet project specifications and applicable construction standards.
• Work closely with the Project Manager and wider site team to plan upcoming works, monitor progress and identify resource requirements.

Overview:

Excellent opportunity for a Senior Site Engineer to join a well established and growing Irish Main Contractor on the delivery of a major student accommodation project in Dublin City Centre.

You’ll be working on a technically interesting multi-storey development incorporating significant structural works, groundworks, drainage & utilities, architectural packages, extensive internal fit-out and associated public realm & external works.

As the Senior Site Engineer you will take ownership of key engineering packages, coordinate subcontractors, manage quality & technical issues and work closely with the Project Manager, to drive the project through to successful completion.

The contractor has built a strong reputation for delivering complex projects across Ireland, with experience spanning residential, commercial, pharmaceutical, industrial, healthcare and other major building developments.

There is a strong emphasis on teamwork and collaborative problem solving, with engineers encouraged to bring ideas to the table, take ownership of their work and develop into more senior positions within the business.

The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect somewhere in the region of €80,000 – €85,000, along with a Vehicle + Fuel/Car Allowance, Matched Pension Scheme, Mobile Phone and Laptop.
