Job summary

Tines Security Ltd. is seeking a Senior Security Operations Engineer to grow and mature our security program. You will lead security projects, perform vulnerability remediation, and automate security tasks to protect customers and our own environment.

The role reports to the Security Operations Manager and requires strong cloud security expertise. You will drive security reviews, stay ahead of threats, and scale our detection capabilities across production and corporate environments.

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years in a security role overseeing complex cloud environments.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills.
• Deep familiarity with cloud security in AWS.
• Familiarity with securing Docker, AWS ECS, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS security tooling (CloudTrail, GuardDuty, CloudWatch, Security Hub, Inspector, Config).
• Experience implementing security controls for SOC2, ISO, CMMC, and FedRamp.
• Background automating security tasks with SOAR tools or languages like Python/Go.
• Knowledge of Linux/macOS hardening and OS command-line use.
• Experience on on-call rotations in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Drive security projects that support business functions and protect customers, brand, and employees.
• Monitor security trends and incidents; implement controls to prevent recurrence.
• Perform security reviews of infrastructure and product features for high standards.
• Update policies and procedures to maintain security posture at Tines.
• Scale detection and response capabilities across environments and systems.
• Lead vulnerability remediation with engineering, infra, and security teams for timely fixes.
• Assist with security training to keep employees up-to-date on threats.
• Act as escalation point for automated detections requiring human review.
• Proactively hunt threats across the environment.
• Conduct regular on-call duties and incident commander responsibilities during security incidents.
• Ensure cloud and endpoint security controls are deployed and tested.
• Automate security tasks using Tines where possible.
