Job summary

Tines is seeking a Senior Security Operations Engineer to grow and mature our security program in Ireland. You will lead security projects, perform threat hunting, and scale detection and response across cloud environments while collaborating with engineering, infra, and security teams.

The role emphasizes automation using Python/Go and SOAR workflows. Ideal candidates have 6-8+ years in security, strong English, and deep AWS security experience, including containers (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes)

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years in a security role
• Experience securing cloud environments, especially AWS
• Container security with Docker, AWS ECS and Kubernetes
• Experience with security tooling: CloudTrail, GuardDuty, CloudWatch, Security Hub, Inspector, Config
• Familiarity with frameworks: SOC2, ISO, CMMC, FedRamp
• Automation of security tasks with Python/Go or SOAR
• Strong command-line, log analysis, OS hardening (Linux/macOS)
• On-call rotation experience and autonomous working style
• Excellent written and verbal English skills

Responsibilities

• Drive security projects that protect customers, brand, and employees
• Review security trends and incidents; implement preventive controls
• Perform security reviews of infrastructure and product features
• Update security policies and procedures
• Scale detection and response across environments
• Remediate vulnerabilities with engineering and security teams
• Provide security training and awareness
• Act as escalation point for automated detections
• Proactively hunt for threats across environment
• Participate in on-call duties and incident commander roles
• Ensure security controls across cloud environments and endpoints
• Automate security tasks using Tines
