Job summary

n8n is the open workflow orchestration platform enabling teams to automate faster with no-code speed. We seek a Security Engineer in Ireland to identify and reduce security risks across our product and internal systems, balancing threat modelling, vulnerability management and proactive incident readiness to move security from reactive to scalable.

You’ll partner with Engineering, Cloud, IT, and Data teams to embed security across the development lifecycle, supporting SOC 2 and enterprise-grade

Qualifications

• Threat modelling experience across product features, cloud infra, data systems.
• Ability to validate findings, reproduce issues, and craft mitigations.
• Hands-on security engineering in product or infrastructure teams.
• Ability to influence without direct authority across stakeholders.
• Experience translating findings into actionable remediation requirements.
• Comfort with LLM-assisted tooling, understanding limitations and risks.
• Strong written and verbal communication for engineers and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead threat modelling and risk assessments across systems, identifying vulnerabilities and mitigations.
• Review designs with engineering, define security requirements, and influence controls.
• Embed secure coding guidance and tooling into development processes.
• Triage vulnerabilities, coordinate remediation, and support secure patching.
• Develop logging, detection, and incident readiness capabilities.
• Support SOC 2/compliance efforts with automated evidence collection and controls.
