Job summary

HRM Search Partners is assisting an established leader in the building materials sector in Dublin to appoint a Sales Director. The role will own the Irish sales function, protect existing client relationships, drive margin improvement and deliver new business growth.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership within building materials or B2B distribution, with strong negotiation and market development capabilities.

Qualifications

• Extensive track record leading sales teams in building materials or B2B distribution.
• Proven ability to win new business and grow market share.
• Strong commercial negotiation and margin management.
• Experience managing revenue targets and sales performance.
• Experience across building materials, merchants, hardware, plumbing, electrical or industrial distribution.

Responsibilities

• Lead the sales team and deliver revenue, margin and performance targets.
• Develop key customer relationships across the building materials, merchant and trade sectors.
• Identify and win new business and increase market share.
• Lead commercial negotiations across pricing, terms and rebates.
• Strengthen sales forecasting, reporting and performance management.
• Work closely with Product, Purchasing and Marketing to support wider growth.
