Job summary

BSS Building Staff Solutions Limited is hiring a Senior Recruitment Consultant for a pure delivery, candidate-focused role in our Trades & Labour division. You will join an established desk with live vacancies from day one, covering Dublin and the wider Leinster area.

You will recruit construction trades and labour, manage urgent orders, and mentor junior recruiters. The role offers a proactive, fast-paced environment with strong commission potential and career progression.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years recruitment experience in temporary or contract delivery.
• Experience recruiting construction trades and labour.
• Strong working knowledge of Irish construction tickets and compliance.
• Comfortable handling urgent orders and same-day problems on the phone.
• Organised and accurate with CRM and candidate records.

Responsibilities

• Work the live vacancies allocated to your desk by the sales team.
• Source, screen and place skilled trades, general operatives, plant operators and labourers across Dublin and surrounding counties.
• Turn urgent orders around fast, including same-day and next-day starts.
• Keep candidates on site: regular check-ins, early warning on issues, and quick replacements when someone walks or is let go.
• Mentor and support sourcers and junior recruiters on the desk, including allocating sourcing work.
• Feed the sales team with market intelligence: candidate availability.

BSS is hiring a Senior Recruitment Consultant for a pure delivery, candidate-side role in our Trades & Labour division. You will step straight onto an established, busy desk with live vacancies from day one, covering Dublin and the wider Leinster area

About BSS

Building Staff Solutions has supplied the Irish construction industry for 21 years, from offices in Dublin and Cork. We place trades and labour, professional staff and industrial workers with contractors ranging from small specialist firms to tier-one main contractors.

Key responsibilities

Delivery

• Work the live vacancies allocated to your desk by the sales team
• Source, screen and place skilled trades, general operatives, plant operators and labourers across Dublin and surrounding counties
• Turn urgent orders around fast, including same-day and next-day starts
• Keep candidates on site: regular check-ins, early warning on issues, and quick replacements when someone walks or is let go
• Manage end-dates and redeploy finishing workers onto new sites before they drift to a competitor

Candidate network

• Build and maintain a pool of available, work-ready candidates by trade, ticket and location
• Headhunt proactively through job boards, social media, referrals, site visits and your own network

Senior contribution

• Mentor and support sourcers and junior recruiters on the desk, including allocating sourcing work
• Feed the sales team with market intelligence: candidate availability
• Share best practice and help hold desk standards

What you'll bring

• At least 2- 3 years' recruitment experience, with a proven track record in temporary or contract delivery
• Experience recruiting construction trades and labour, or a comparable high-volume blue-collar market
• Strong working knowledge of Irish construction tickets and compliance
• Comfortable working at pace on the phone, handling urgent orders and same-day problems
• Organised and accurate with CRM and candidate records
