Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment in Galway is seeking a Recruitment Consultant to build a new Industrial, Logistics & Transport desk across the West and Northwest of Ireland. This is a 360-recruitment role, covering business development, candidate sourcing, account management and the full recruitment lifecycle across permanent, temporary and contract recruitment.

You will join a team of four consultants and report to the Associate Director.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development, sales, telesales or another commercially focused role.
• Comfortable and confident making cold calls and generating new business.
• Resilient, commercially minded and motivated by targets and financial performance.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable dealing with rejection and able to consistently create new opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business through proactive cold calling, networking, meetings and relationship building.
• Identify prospective clients and convert opportunities into new vacancies and accounts.
• Build and manage long-term relationships with hiring managers and business owners.
• Take detailed client briefs and advise on recruitment solutions and market availability.
• Source, attract, interview and qualify candidates across your specialist market.
• Manage candidates throughout the recruitment process, including interview preparation, offer management and closing deals.
• Manage permanent, temporary and contract recruitment assignments from initial brief through to placement.
• Build a strong candidate network across industrial, logistics, transport, warehousing and manufacturing.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and develop additional business.
• Manage multiple vacancies and priorities while working towards individual and team revenue targets.
• Develop specialist knowledge of your market and become a trusted recruitment partner to clients and candidates.

Recruitment Consultant

We are looking for a Recruitment Consultant to join our Galway team and build a new Industrial, Logistics & Transport recruitment desk across the West and Northwest of Ireland.

This is a 360-recruitment role, covering business development, candidate sourcing, account management and the full recruitment lifecycle across permanent, temporary and contract recruitment.

You will join a team of four consultants and report to the Associate Director. This is a growth-focused, cold desk, so the initial emphasis will be heavily weighted towards business development and winning new clients.

The opportunity is to build your own market across Galway, Clare, Mayo, Sligo and Donegal, supported by an established recruitment business, experienced leadership, strong systems and a large candidate network. This is a permanent role, 5-days onsite until probation is passed (6-months), hybrid working thereafter. Our office is based in Galway City.

Requirements

• Must be able to commute to Galway City.
• Full-time office-based for the first six months, moving to 2 days office / 3 days home following successful completion of probation.

Competitive salary, negotiable depending on experience, plus uncapped commission.
