Job summary

SSA Recruitment is seeking aSenior Quantity Surveyor for a permanent role based in Limerick. You will manage the commercial delivery of major projects across Munster, from procurement through to final account, ensuring costs are controlled while maintaining strong client and contractor relationships.

The role reports to the Commercial Manager and requires a degree in Quantity Surveying with 7+ years’ post-qualification experience. Ireland working rights essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost estimation and cost control for large-scale building projects.
• MRICS/MSCSI accreditation or working towards chartership is advantageous.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Take full commercial management of construction projects from procurement to final account.
• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts and monthly cost reports.
• Procurement and management of subcontractor packages.

SSA is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a well-established Main Building Contractor for a permanent position based in Limerick.

About the role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in the commercial delivery of major construction projects across the Munster region. You will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account, ensuring costs are controlled while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

• Full commercial management of construction projects
• Preparing and managing budgets, forecasts and monthly cost reports
• Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
• Managing valuations, variations and final accounts
• Identifying and mitigating commercial risks
• Liaising with clients, consultants and site management teams
• Mentoring junior members of the commercial team
• Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and to programme
