Job summary

ICDS Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial management of major construction projects in Ireland. You will collaborate with Project Managers and clients to control costs, procurement, valuations and variations, guiding projects from preconstruction to final account.

Applicants should have a degree in Quantity Surveying, substantial main contractor experience, and the right to work in Ireland. Chartered status or progress towards SCSI/RICS is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Strong Quantity Surveying experience with a main contractor.
• Experience working for an Irish contractor is essential.
• Right to work in Ireland.
• Chartered / working towards SCSI or RICS is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the commercial management of major construction projects from preconstruction through to final account.
• Work with Project Managers, Contracts Managers, clients, consultants and subcontractors to manage costs, procurement, valuations and variations.
• Forecasting and commercial reporting to support project delivery.

We’re partnering with a well established Tier 1 contractor with a strong reputation across Ireland. They deliver a broad mix of high value projects - from large hotel refurbishments to public sector frameworks, highrise residential schemes, data centres, healthcare upgrades and various retrofit / energy projects. Typical project values range from €2m up to €100m +.

The Role

This is a senior commercial position, taking responsibility for the commercial management of major construction projects from preconstruction and procurement through to final account. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Contracts Managers, clients, consultants and subcontractors, managing costs, procurement, valuations, variations, forecasting and commercial reporting.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related discipline
• Strong Quantity Surveying experience with a main contractor
• Previous experience working for an Irish contractor is essential
• Right to work in Ireland
• Chartered / working towards SCSI or RICS is beneficial
