Job summary

Suir Engineering are currently offering a 18-month Graduate Programme for ambitious Quantity Surveying graduates. You will gain hands-on experience across large-scale construction projects, with a mentor and exposure to different business areas.

Positions are available across Ireland, Denmark & Sweden. The programme focuses on soft skills, business modules, CPD, and opportunities for international assignments with competitive starting salary and generous leave.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Level 8+) is required or equivalent.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proactive attitude with willingness to learn and take on challenges.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Project Quantity Surveyor with project cost management tasks.
• Support the Construction Team on all QS functions.
• Attend handover meetings and ensure contract documents are signed.
• Follow up on bonds and ensure insurance is in place for subcontractors.
• Schedule interim valuations and project cash flows.

Suir Engineering are currently taking applications for our 2027 Graduate Programme.

We are looking for ambitious and motivated Quantity Surveying Graduates to join our 18-month Graduate Programme. At Suir Engineering, graduates are central to our future, and we invest heavily in your training, development, and career growth. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across all stages of large-scale construction projects, receive support from a dedicated Mentor, and be exposed to different areas of the business.

We currently have graduate position available across Ireland, Denmark & Sweden.

Our Graduate Programme

In addition to on‑the‑job experience, we also provide some specialized programmes for our Graduate Trainees:

• Soft Skills Modules – communication/presentation skills
• Business Modules – learn how different parts of our business work
• Business Project
• Site Visits

What you will be doing?

• Assisting the Senior Project Quantity Surveyor with relevant project cost management activities
• Providing support to the Construction Team on all QS functions
• Attending all handover meetings
• Following up contract documents, ensuring they are acceptable and signed
• Following up on the required bond to ensure it is issued
• Ensuring relevant insurance is in place, including respective subcontractors
• Scheduling interim valuation dates for assigned projects
• Projecting cash flows for assigned projects
