Purpose
We are seeking a Senior Project Planner responsible for the development, management, and reporting of fully integrated project programmes for complex, multi‑sector and multi‑discipline projects, with a strong Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) focus.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and control detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent.
- Produce integrated pre‑construction, construction, commissioning, and handover programmes in collaboration with the project team.
- Develop commissioning, IST, and validation programmes in alignment with project requirements.
- Identify critical and near‑critical paths and develop mitigation and recovery strategies.
- Monitor site progress through physical measurement, Earned Value Management (EVM), and milestone tracking.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports including programme status, critical path analysis, float utilisation, delay analysis, recovery plans, and forecast completion dates.
- Proactively identify and manage programme and schedule‑related risks.
- Develop and manage project schedules and associated control tools and systems.
- Lead and facilitate planning, progress, and programme review meetings and workshops.
- Establish and manage project resource loading and schedule‑driven resource requirements.
- Provide performance updates and variance analysis to support corrective actions.
- Work closely with project managers, construction teams, M&E leads, commissioning teams, clients, and consultants.
Role Requirements
- Relevant third‑level qualification in engineering, construction management, or a recognised M&E trade qualification.
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a Senior Planning or Project Controls role on large‑scale engineering projects.
- Strong Mechanical & Electrical experience with high technical competence.
- Experience managing multi‑package contracts, long‑lead equipment, phased handovers, commissioning, and CQV.
- Expert‑level proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read and interpret M&E drawings, schematics, and commissioning documentation.
