Job description

We are currently seeking a Planning Lead with experience working on Industrial Electrical Projects to join our headquarters in Slane, Co. Meath. This is an office based role, providing senior support and oversight across the planning function for a portfolio of projects across Europe.

In this role, you will take responsibility for the development, governance, and maintenance of project schedules throughout the full lifecycle from preconstruction to final completion. The role requires strong planning expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive progress across multidisciplinary teams in a fast paced, high performance environment.

MTM Engineering is a market leading specialist electrical contractor that provides medium voltage (MV) and low voltage (LV) cable installation, termination services, busbar, and containment solutions for a wide range of construction projects. Responsibilities

• Lead planning across multiple projects and ensure consistent planning standards and practices
• Oversee the development and maintenance of detailed project schedules that integrate scope, milestones, procurement, and resource allocations
• Monitor progress against baseline schedules and identify risks, delays, and recovery opportunities
• Lead planning meetings with internal teams, clients, and external partners to ensure alignment between programme expectations and site progress
• Recommend improvements to sequencing, methodology, and resource deployment to support efficient project delivery
• Manage the incorporation of scope changes and variations into project schedules in coordination with commercial and delivery teams
• Produce clear and accurate progress reports for senior management and project stakeholders
• Identify schedule impacts and lead the development of mitigation and corrective action plans
• Support the preparation of short term lookahead programmes to drive site based activities
• Maintain planning data and documentation in line with company requirements and contribute to ongoing improvements in planning processes and tools

Requirements

• Proven expertise in Primavera P6 at an advanced or leadership level
• Minimum 7 years experience in planning and scheduling for large scale industrial construction projects
• Previous experience on Data Centre projects is highly desirable
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex project data and communicate clearly
• Effective stakeholder management with a collaborative and team oriented approach
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, at a minimum C2 level
• EU, EEA, UK Citizenship or a Stamp 4 visa required. No visa sponsorship will be provided for this role
