  • Represent the project team at client design and progress meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with design specifications and project schedule.
  • Develop engineering solutions, including calculations and sketches.
  • Manage procurement processes and review supplier packages.
  • Review coordinated construction drawings and updated design specs; communicate variances to stakeholders.
  • Manage procurement processes including technical submittals and procurement schedules.
  • Review specialist supplier packages for compliance with project specs and standards.
  • Prepare project-specific commissioning plan.
  • Review BCAR preliminary inspection plan and coordinate with the quality team.

Purpose of Role

We are seeking an ambitious Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our Dublin based team. The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise and proven experience across all phases of mechanical engineering projects, including design, construction, and implementation. This role requires a commitment to safety, high quality standards, and exceptional client satisfaction, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Represent the project team at client design and progress meetings and communicate the outcomes of same with the stakeholders.
  • Familiarisation of design specifications and drawings to fully understand the project scope, ensuring compliance with requirements and adherence to the project schedule.
  • Design review of drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure compliance with the specification standards and industry best practice.
  • Ensure works are installed in accordance with project specifications and client requirements.
  • Develop engineering solutions as required, including detailed calculations and sketches for client approval.
  • Review coordinated construction drawings.
  • Review updated design specifications and drawings, identify scope and cost variance and communicate same to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage procurement processes including technical submittals and procurement schedules.
  • Detailed review of specialist supplier packages for compliance with project specification, applicable industry standards and design intent specifications.
  • Prepare project specific commissioning plan.
  • Review BCAR preliminary inspection plan and coordinate with the quality team.
Role Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
  • 4+ years' experience in similar industry is desirable.
  • Strong technical proficiency in mechanical engineering principles, design tools, and software.
  • Excellent project management and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure and work to strict deadlines.
  • Understanding of relevant regulations and safety standards in mechanical engineering.
