Job summary

CareerWise Recruitment is partnering with a growing civil engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Civil Project Manager for North Cork. This role offers ownership of projects and leadership of on-site teams across infrastructure, utilities and renewables.

You will drive safety, programme delivery and stakeholder engagement with 5+ years’ experience in civil engineering or infrastructure projects in Ireland or the UK.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience managing civil engineering or infrastructure projects in Ireland or UK.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Experience with NEC or Public Works Contracts is advantageous.
• Strong leadership, communication and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from commencement through to completion.
• Lead health, safety, quality and environmental performance on-site.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, plant and materials.
• Drive programme performance and meet milestones.
• Build relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Monitor costs, productivity and commercial performance.
• Support and develop engineers, supervisors and site teams.

The role will suit a motivated Project Manager who enjoys taking ownership, leading high-performing teams and delivering projects safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

• Manage projects from commencement through to completion.
• Lead health, safety, quality and environmental performance on-site
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, plant and materials.
• Drive programme performance and ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve project issues quickly and effectively.
• Monitor costs, productivity and commercial performance.
• Support and develop engineers, supervisors and site teams.
• 5+ years' experience managing civil engineering or infrastructure projects (Ireland or UK)
• Strong background in areas such as roads, drainage, utilities, renewables, groundworks or infrastructure.
• Proven ability to deliver projects safely, on programme and within budget.
• Experience managing subcontractors, clients and multiple stakeholders.
• Strong organisational, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and commercial awareness
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar.
• Advantageous experience with NEC or Public Works Contracts or experience on infrastructure, energy or residential development projects.

Suitable candidates must have previous experience working within the Irish or UK construction market. Applicants must also have the legal right to work in Ireland. Please note that work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
