Job summary

Falcon Green is seeking a Civils Project Manager based in Cork to lead civil engineering and building scopes on major projects. You will work closely with clients, stakeholders and third parties to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong leadership, procurement oversight, and the application of Lean Construction and Last Planner methodologies to optimise performance and client satisfaction across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in Ireland on civil engineering projects.
• Experience in civil engineering works such as bulk earthworks, cast in-situ concrete works, precast installations, building works, pipelaying and site finishes is preferable.
• Minimum of a Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil Engineering or similar

Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients, client representatives and third-party agencies.
• Lead the construction team in all aspects of the Civil Engineering and Building scope of works.
• Liaise with mechanical, electrical and process engineering.
• Conduct regular Health and Safety inspections on live sites and lead toolbox talks and white-board meetings.
• Apply Lean Construction and Last Planner techniques.
• Report monthly on the project performance to framework manager (programme, budget, HSQE).
• Oversee procurement of supplies and sub-contracts on time and within budget.
• Involve in resource management and recruitment as a hiring manager; provide tendering guidance for new projects.
• Address client and stakeholder complaints promptly and gather feedback for improvement.

Duties:

• Work closely and collaborate with all key stakeholders including clients, client representatives and third-party agencies.
• Ensure a positive experience for the client and their representatives instilling an ethos of collaboration and cooperation.
• Lead the construction team in all aspects of the Civil Engineering and Building scope of works.
• Liaise closely and support other engineering disciplines including mechanical, electrical and process engineering.
• Conduct regular Health and Safety inspections on live sites as well as conducting and leading toolbox talks and white-board meetings.
• Ensure best practice project management techniques are used such as Lean Construction and Last Planner.
• Report on the monthly performance of your project to the framework manager including performance against programme, budget and HSQE.
• Lead the team in the procurement of supplies and sub-contracts on time and within budget.
• Provide an active involvement in resource management and recruitment within your team as a hiring manager, oversight and guidance from time to time on tendering opportunities for new upcoming projects.
• Respond to and address any client and stakeholder complaints in a timely manner. Obtain client satisfaction surveys and provide any feedback on how to improve our client satisfaction.
