Job summary

Hadfield Green is seeking a Principal Product Engineer in Ireland (Dublin area) for a hybrid role with on-site presence one day per week. You will own product decisions at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Payments and AI-native software development, building significant portions of the platform yourself.

You will prototype, test and ship production software using AI coding agents, shaping payments and eCommerce capabilities with strong technical judgement and a focus on business

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience across Product Engineering or comparable role.
• Hands-on payments experience building payment integrations or checkout systems.
• Ability to prototype independently and translate problems into specs and tests.

Responsibilities

• Own product decisions across the estate and decide what to build, improve or retire.
• Set priorities balancing customer value, opportunities and engineering capacity.
• Translate problems into precise specs, acceptance criteria and test cases for engineers and AI agents.
• Prototype, build and ship production software using AI coding agents as a core workflow.
• Design and deliver payment integrations, APIs, checkout experiences and POS integrations.
