Job summary

Fulcrum Digital, a global AI-first transformation company, seeks a Senior AI Engineer in Dublin to shape AI-powered payments platforms. You will design and ship production-grade AI systems, including LLM orchestration, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role involves building data-intensive applications with Databricks, Spark/PySpark, and modern data tech, mentoring engineers, and ensuring security and reliability across services.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building AI-powered products using LLMs, RAG/retrieval systems, and orchestration frameworks.
• Strong grasp of agentic workflow concepts including planning/reasoning loops and safety mechanisms.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience building scalable, distributed, cloud-native applications.
• Proven ability to lead team-level design and translate business needs into secure, maintainable solutions.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills; comfortable with ambiguity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead team-level design for AI-powered services, including LLM architecture, RAG pipelines, tool integrations, data flows, and nonfunctional requirements.
• Design, build, and productionise AI-powered features using LLM integrations, RAG, and agentic workflows with LangChain and LlamaIndex.
