Job summary

Kota is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to join the Core and Investments team on Kota Platform. This full-stack role will work primarily on pensions, retirement savings and Spend, with flexibility to contribute on backend and frontend as needed.

You will own features end-to-end, drive product-informed decisions, and participate in client calls to understand problems and explain solutions. We value autonomy, AI-enabled work, reliability, security and clear cross-team communication.

Qualifications

• 6+ years building production software with ownership of products
• Strong product judgement and ability to explain decisions
• Full stack experience with backend and frontend when needed
• Experience building dependable APIs or integrations
• AI-native ways of working for planning and review
• Excellent communication with engineers and customers
• Ability to work to GMT hours 08:00-10:00

Responsibilities

• Design and build pensions, retirement savings and Spend systems
• Identify problems early and translate them into product decisions
• Join client calls to understand problems and explain solutions
• Own work end-to-end from scoping to post-launch support
• Work across the stack as needed for the project
• Push back when requests misalign with the problem
• Apply AI throughout planning, building, reviewing and shipping
• Ensure reliability, security and observability
• Help shape team processes as the company grows
