Job summary

Kota is building a fully integrated benefits platform and Kota Embed, helping platforms deliver insurance and retirement products. As a Forward Deployed Engineer you’ll work at the intersection of engineering, product and customer success, partnering with global payroll providers and HR tools to design and deploy Kota solutions.

You’ll write production‑quality code, advise partners on best practices, and influence the product roadmap based on real‑world integrations.

About The Team

As part of Kota’s Forward Deployed Engineering team you’ll work directly with our customers (global payroll providers, HR platforms) by helping them adopt our APIs and SDKs through hands-on support, integrations, and early insights. Our goal is to remove complexity so platforms spend less time wrestling with legacy systems and more time delivering benefits people love.

The role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) at Kota, you’ll sit at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer success. You’ll partner directly with our customers to design and deploy solutions that unlock the full value of Kota’s developer products. Unlike traditional software engineering roles, this position is highly customer-facing and hands-on. You’ll write production-quality code, advise partners on best practices, and influence our product roadmap based on real-world integrations. This role is perfect if you want to apply your technical skills in high-impact, customer-facing environments while shaping how benefits are delivered globally.
