Job summary

Analog Devices in Limerick seeks a Process Engineer within the Backend Fabrication Engineering group to drive process and equipment control, support manufacturing, and develop wafer-level capabilities.

The candidate will work on continuous improvement, root-cause analysis, and transfer of new processes; requires degree and 3+ years hands-on experience in processing, with strong problem solving and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Applied Physics / Electronics / Materials / Chemistry or relevant discipline.
• Direct experience in one or more of the following: Etch, Lithography, Deposition, Epitaxial growth, Wet Chemistry processing, Ion Implantation, Diffusion.
• 3+ years’ hands-on processing engineering experience.
• Excellent technical problem solving & multi-tasking skills.
• Good communication and interaction skills.
• Data driven and ability to apply science theory and engineering concepts.

Responsibilities

• As a technical contributor, drive continuous improvement for existing volume manufacturing processes, layers & tools.
• Work with equipment and manufacturing groups to achieve this.
• Perform root cause analysis of yield issues and implement corrective actions.
• Develop new wafer level capabilities with development teams.
• Establish standards for equipment and process methods across shift personnel.
• Review metrics on Safety, Quality, Output and Value for Money of equipment and processes.
