Qualifications

  • Degree in Applied Physics / Electronics / Materials / Chemistry or relevant discipline.
  • Direct experience in one or more: Etch, Lithography, Deposition, Epitaxial growth, Wet Chemistry processing, Ion Implantation, or Diffusion.
  • 3+ years’ hands-on processing engineering experience.
  • Excellent technical problem solving and multi-tasking skills.
  • Good communication and interaction skills.
  • Data-driven with ability to apply engineering concepts.
  • Self-directed, self-motivated and capable in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement for existing volume manufacturing processes, layers and tools.
  • Collaborate with equipment and manufacturing groups to analyze yield excursions and implement corrective actions.
  • Work with development groups to define and develop wafer-level capabilities.
  • Establish standards for methods of equipment and process work across shift personnel.
  • Review metrics on Safety, Quality, Output and Value for Money and drive initiatives.
  • Support capital acquisition including tool selection, installation and qualification.
  • Ensure safe practices across toolsets and represent ADI at technical conferences.

Analog Devices International is looking to recruit a Process Engineer within the Backend Fabrication Engineering group.**The successful candidate will:*** play a key role in supporting the manufacturing processes* drive process and equipment control* have responsibility for toolset qualification* drive continuous improvement* work with the development team in developing new wafer level capabilities for our technology roadmap and transferring in new processes from our sister sites.**Key Responsibilities will include not limited to:*** As a technical contributor, drive continuous improvement for existing volume manufacturing processes, layers & tools. Work with equipment and manufacturing groups to achieve this.* Work with key groups/disciplines in determining root cause analysis of yield issues, excursions, equipment downs and implementing corrective actions & robust solutions to improve the process* Work with the development groups and other disciplines within Analog Devices in defining and developing new wafer level capabilities.* Establish clear standards for methods of equipment and/or process work amongst shift personnel and Engineering groups – working with Equipment shift supervisors* Periodic review of key metrics associated with Safety, Quality, Output and Value for Money on equipment and processes for an area and driving associated initiatives* Develop own expertise of key technology changes/equipment platform changes and developments within an area* Capital acquisition inclusive of definition, tool selection, installation and qualification for new or existing technologies* Responsible for the safe practices across toolsets* Representing ADI at business and technical conferences**Candidate Requirements:*** Degree in Applied Physics /Electronics/Material’s/Chemistry or relevant discipline* Direct experience in one or more of the following: Etch, Lithography, Deposition, Epitaxial growth, Wet Chemistry processing, Ion Implantation, Diffusion etc* 3+ years’ experience in a hands-on processing engineering* Excellent technical problem solving & multi-tasking skills* Good communication and interaction skills* Data driven and ability to apply science theory and engineering concepts* Self-directing, self-motivated and ability to work in a dynamic environment#LI-AS1*For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
