Job summary

Fin is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead strategic initiatives within its engineering organization. You will own architectural direction, mentor engineers, and work with designers, product managers, researchers, and data analysts to deliver scalable, reliable systems.

You will build both back-end and front-end components, contribute to technical strategy with Group Engineering Managers, and help guide resource allocation across projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years leading a team as primary technical leader.
• Experience shipping SaaS products with distributed systems.
• Proven ability to drive technical strategy and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead key strategic initiatives within the R&D org.
• Assess project progress, risks and resource needs.
• Contribute to architecture as the team scales to many customers.
• Balance agility with scalability and reliability, enabling incremental releases.
• Involve in ideation through implementation and mentoring engineers.
• Adopt and promote AI-powered developer tooling to boost productivity.
• Participate in hiring and career development of engineers.
• Raise technical standards and operational excellence.
