Fin is a fast-growing AI software company on a mission to redefine customer experiences. As a Staff Engineer, you will lead both backend and frontend systems and work closely with product managers, researchers, designers, and data analysts.

You will coach engineers, partner with the Engineering Manager to shape technical strategy, and scale architecture to support millions of interactions daily. This is a hands-on leadership role in a hybrid engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Experience building and shipping a SaaS product with global users.
• Demonstrated impact on the product or teams.
• Deep knowledge of a high-level programming language (Ruby/Python/Perl) and ability to learn others quickly.
• Experience with distributed systems.
• Minimum 2 years as the primary technical leader for a team.
• Experience collaborating with product teams and designers to deliver customer value.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to our technical architecture as we scale.
• Balance agility with scalability and availability; practice incremental releases.
• Participate in all software phases: ideation, prototyping, design and implementation.
• Mix hands-on development with lead/architecture work.
• Build using the best tools in the industry and leverage AI-powered developer tools.
• Play an active role in hiring, mentoring and career development of engineers.
• Raise the bar for performance, reliability, and operational excellence.
