Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is partnering with a leading Irish insurance company to hire a Senior Pricing Actuary in central Dublin. The role is hybrid (2 days onsite, 3 days remote) and offers a unique chance to shape pricing governance and underwriting performance.

You’ll develop pricing models, monitor portfolio performance, provide independent actuarial advice, and collaborate across Actuarial, Underwriting and Exposure Management to drive value for the business.

Qualifications

• Actuarial qualification is essential.
• Technical knowledge of general insurance pricing techniques, preferably within Commercial Lines.
• Knowledge of the Irish insurance market and regulatory environment.

Responsibilities

• Review pricing tools completed by underwriters and provide technical price recommendations for large individual submissions.
• Monitor and report on portfolio performance and pricing adequacy.
• Develop a comprehensive pricing governance framework.
• Ensure pricing activities comply with Solvency II requirements.
• Provide insight on catastrophe and large loss exposure and concentration risk.
• Provide actuarial advice to support underwriting strategy, business planning and performance monitoring.
• Work collaboratively across Actuarial, Underwriting and Exposure Management.
