Job summary

Raretec Recruitment Ltd. is assisting a well-established Irish insurance organisation in appointing a Senior Pricing Actuary in Dublin.

The role offers real ownership of pricing strategy, underwriting performance and portfolio decision-making, with collaboration across Actuarial, Underwriting and Exposure Management. You will lead pricing models, oversee submissions, and drive governance while incorporating claims, exposure, reinsurance and capital considerations into pricing.

Qualifications

• A qualified actuary with strong General Insurance pricing experience (commercial lines preferred).
• Ability to translate complex analysis into clear recommendations for senior decision-makers.
• Experience collaborating with Underwriting and/or Portfolio Management.
• Comfortable challenging constructively and taking ownership to influence decisions.

• Lead the annual pricing exercise and develop pricing models.
• Provide actuarial input into large and complex submissions.

Job description

We are currently working with a well-established Irish insurance organisation that is looking to appoint a Senior Pricing Actuary into its Actuarial team in Dublin.

This is a role with real ownership and influence - ideal for a qualified actuary who wants to move beyond the technical pricing piece and have a genuine impact on pricing strategy, underwriting performance and portfolio decision-making.

You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across Actuarial, Underwriting and Exposure Management, with responsibility for developing and enhancing pricing capabilities across the portfolio.

Senior Pricing Actuary Job details:

• Leading the annual pricing exercise and developing pricing models
• Providing actuarial input into large and complex submissions
• Driving pricing adequacy and portfolio performance analysis
• Developing and strengthening pricing governance and controls
• Incorporating claims, exposure, reinsurance, capital and risk considerations into pricing
• Providing insight into catastrophe, large loss and concentration risk
• Supporting underwriting strategy, product development and new cover initiatives
• Contributing to wider actuarial activities including capital, reserving and Solvency II

Qualifications / Skills required:

• A qualified actuary with strong General Insurance pricing experience - commercial Lines preferred.
• Can combine technical actuarial expertise with strong commercial and stakeholder skills.
• Have experience working alongside Underwriting and/or Portfolio Management and comfortable translating complex analysis into clear recommendations for senior decision-makers.
• Comfortable challenging constructively, influencing decisions and taking ownership.
