Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Senior Power Systems Engineer to work on data centre power systems across Dublin or Cork. The role focuses on simulations, protection settings and reports, delivering reliable power distribution for critical digital infrastructure.

You will design and validate LV/MV/HV schemes, coordinate with electrical teams and liaise with clients. A Chartered path is encouraged and a hybrid working model is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Power Engineering.
• Experience in data centre power systems.
• Proficiency with ETAP, DIgSILENT or SKM.
• Experience in power system studies (load flow, short circuit, protection).

Responsibilities

• Perform power system simulations and analyses for data centre projects.
• Develop protection settings and transformer inrush calculations.
• Prepare technical reports and equipment specifications.
• Collaborate with design teams and liaise with clients.
