RED Engineering Design is expanding and seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to be based in Dublin or Cork. The role involves leading project runs, coordinating mechanical services, and client liaison on a range of building types from data centres to healthcare.

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng or equivalent engineering degree.
• MCIBSE plus relevant experience or equivalent.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
• Experience in specification design for multiple building types.
• Strong knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and regulations.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Managerial and presentation skills.
• Experience in consulting or construction environment.

Responsabilités

• Running of projects with client-facing design and coordination of mechanical or electrical installations.
• Develops and specifies controls, instruments, and operating systems for building services.
• Surveys, tests, and dilapidation reports on existing installations.
• Ensures activities meet specifications and customer requirements.
• Day-to-day project progress decisions and client liaison.
• Represents company at technical meetings with customers and teams.
• Ensures calculations and drawings meet industry and legal standards.
• Leads on coordination of engineering services.
• Takes holistic view in applying engineering concepts and solutions.
• Develops the next tier of engineers.
