Job summary

Salesforce.com, inc. is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff to help build the next generation of core engineering platforms and automation systems—infrastructure that thousands of engineers rely on to ship high-quality products faster and with more confidence.

You will work hands-on across the platform’s architecture and mentor engineers as the team grows. Design and implement large-scale, multi-region infrastructure and automation systems, contribute to the technical strategy, lead PoCs,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience with Java and AWS.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce Platform APIs, declarative automation, and security model.
• Track record architecting large-scale, distributed systems serving thousands of users.
• Deep experience with cloud platforms (AWS) including networking, security, and serverless services.
• Hands-on with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, service mesh, advanced patterns).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code at scale (Terraform Enterprise or similar).
• Knowledge of CI/CD platform architecture (Jenkins Enterprise, GitHub Actions).
• Understanding of microservices, event-driven patterns, and platform scalability.
• Strong communication skills for varied audiences including leadership.
• Degree or equivalent experience; relevant experience evaluated by core competencies.

Responsibilities

• Design and build large-scale, multi-region infrastructure platforms and automation systems.
• Contribute to technical strategy and roadmap for core engineering platform evolution.
• Lead PoCs, evaluate emerging technologies, and perform platform research.
• Analyze complex systems to identify root causes of instability or performance bottlenecks.
• Mentor engineers with hands-on technical guidance and code support.
• Communicate technical decisions and trade-offs clearly to peers and leadership.
