Job summary

MCS Group is partnering with a technology-led organisation investing in its cloud platform. We are recruiting for a Senior Platform Engineer to help modernise the platform, improve developer experience and build scalable, secure cloud infrastructure using AWS.

You will design and evolve AWS cloud infrastructure, drive container platforms with ECS and Docker, and implement Terraform-based IaC. The role offers hybrid working and a strong benefits package within a collaborative engineering culture.

Qualifications

• Proven cloud infrastructure design and deployment experience on AWS.
• Strong IaC skills with Terraform across production environments.
• Experience with container platforms (ECS) and Docker in scalable services.

MCS Group is delighted to be working with a technology-led organisation that is investing heavily in its cloud platform and is looking to appoint a Senior Platform Engineer to its growing engineering team.

This is an opportunity to join a business that's modernising its platform, improving developer experience and building scalable, secure cloud infrastructure using the latest AWS technologies.

You'll be responsible for...

• Designing and evolving AWS cloud infrastructure
• Driving container platforms using AWS ECS and Docker
• Building Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
• Developing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
• Enhancing observability through Datadog
• Creating self-service platform capabilities for engineering teams
• Optimising cloud performance, resilience and cost

You'll have senior level experience with...

• AWS
• Terraform
• ECS and Docker
• GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tooling
• Datadog or another enterprise observability platform
• Python or Bash scripting
