Job summary

ACI Worldwide in Limerick, Ireland, is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to own a cloud-native platform domain, spanning Kubernetes/OpenShift, CI/CD, and observability. You will shape architecture, reliability, and roadmap, serving multiple product teams end-to-end.

You will lead the design of golden-path tooling, set reliability targets, mentor engineers, and drive automation to reduce toil in a regulated payments environment. This role emphasizes hands-on Gen AI infra and IaC excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience building cloud-native platforms and multi-tenant services.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes/OpenShift and autoscaling.
• Proficiency with Terraform or similar IaC tools.
• Ability to set reliability targets and lead incident response.

Responsibilities

• Own a platform domain end to end (e.g., CI/CD, observability, or cloud infrastructure) – architecture, reliability, and roadmap.
• Architect resilient, multi-tenant platform services within your domain.
• Lead design and implementation of golden-path tooling and measure impact on developer productivity.
• Set reliability targets and lead incident response and postmortems.
• Mentor platform engineers and associates and lead design reviews.
