Job summary

Morgan McKinley in Dublin is seeking a Senior Project Engineer (Plant & Grey Utilities) to own technical delivery from construction through commissioning and handover.

The role requires 8-10+ years in building services within GMP Life Sciences, strong piping, P&IDs, and control loops plus field leadership.

You will collaborate across disciplines to ensure safe, compliant, on-time project execution.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent.
• 8–10+ years in building services design, construction and commissioning in GMP/Life Sciences.
• Strong background in plant/grey utility systems, fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
• Proficient with P&IDs, control loops and equipment interfaces.
• Knowledge of IS/ EN/ CIBSE/ ASHRAE regulations and standards.
• Self-starter with solid field presence and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end technical leadership for plant utility systems across lifecycle.
• Oversee field installation, verify equipment against design specifications, P&IDs, and standards.
• Review RFIs and field changes with design teams and vendors.
• Verify readiness for hydrostatic testing, flushing, water treatment, and filling; support commissioning.
• Coordinate interfaces with Electrical, Automation/BMS, HVAC, Process Utilities, and CSA.
• Lead punch list closures and transfer care to Site Operations with knowledge transfer.
