Job summary

Our client in Ireland is seeking a Project Engineer to manage capital projects at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility near Sligo. The role focuses on delivering projects from feasibility through to commissioning and handover, while supporting operations and driving reliability improvements.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree and has hands-on experience with pharmaceutical capital projects, change control, and GMP requirements.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering.
  • Experience delivering capital projects in pharma/manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of change control, commissioning, qualification and GMP.
  • Experience with process equipment, manufacturing systems, site utilities.
  • Understanding of process engineering, automation, continuous improvement and equipment reliability.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver projects on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of capital engineering projects, from feasibility and budgeting through to execution, commissioning and handover.
  • Provide engineering and technical support to site operations, troubleshooting process equipment and driving improvements in reliability and performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimise plant efficiency, equipment uptime and manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate with production, engineering teams, contractors and external suppliers to ensure successful project delivery and operational excellence.
  • Support process safety activities and ensure engineering projects are executed in compliance with site standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee equipment commissioning, validation and installation activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

What You’ll Deliver


  • Manage the full lifecycle of capital engineering projects, from feasibility and budgeting through to execution, commissioning and handover.

Experience Required
