Job summary

A Biopharmaceutical client in West Dublin seeks a Project Manager to support a major GMP lab project from design through closeout and handover. The role requires experience leading cross-functional teams, managing equipment and turnover, and ensuring compliance with GMP, safety, and regulatory standards.

You will liaise with Engineering, EHS, Procurement and QA to align deliverables, manage risk, and keep the project on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Process Engineering.
  • Experience performing project management across design to construction.
  • Familiarity with project life-cycle processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety, schedule, and budget adherence per engineering standards and regulations.
  • Own equipment management and turnover for the project.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP and company policies.
  • Coordinate with Engineering/EHS/Procurement to align deliverables.
  • Plan and schedule using project tools to keep complex project on track.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and develop action plans.
  • Coordinate client support for project completion and handover.
  • Gather equipment and trade information to support engineering deliverables.
  • Manage operations readiness and handover to end users on time.
  • Present progress to stakeholders as required.
  • Coordinate CVQ support for building handover and close-out.

Job description

Our client is a Biopharmaceutical company based in West Dublin, looking for a Project Manager.The successful candidate will support a significant laboratory project to take it to closeout and handover to the client.Th person will typically have prior related project engineering experience having worked on a GMP lab project ideally with turnover experience in a GMP environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Project execution will focus on safety, schedule, and budget adherence while complying with good engineering practices, company policies, regulations and codes.
  • Accountable for meeting key project deliverables for, equipment management and turnover management across the project.
  • Accountable for ensuring projects are compliant with good engineering practices, company policies, regulations and codes.
  • Liaise with Engineering/EHS/Procurement to ensure all are aligned and support project deliverables.
  • Planning and Scheduling, uses planning tools to hold a complex project on schedule and coordinate parallel activities. Coordinate with facilities, EHS, QA, etc.
  • Risk Management, identifies and categorizes project risks according to impact on scope, budget and schedule.
  • Generates action plans to mitigate risks.
  • Coordinate client support for the project completion.
  • Collate all equipment and trade information to support engineering deliverables.
  • Manage and execute the operational readiness phase of the building to ensure on time handover of operations to end users.
  • Presentations and reporting out on progress of projects to stakeholder as required.
  • Coordinate engineering, EHS and CQV support to support handover of building.
  • Complete Project Close-out as per Stage Gate process.
  • Managing vendors for work on site ensuring compliance with safety and permitting requirements for all on site activities.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • A degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Process Engineering.
  • Demonstrable skills that can be applied to effectively manage and execute projects from design to completion.
  • Familiar with project life-cycle process.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the project management process, scheduling,design development, implementation, project closeout.
  • Experience of executing and/or managing equipment and process design through to construction.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to effectively manage stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence others.
  • Demonstrable people management skills or experience working with cross functional project teams.
  • Proactive and accountable person with a demonstrable willingness to learn.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing a cross functional team to deliver projects is desirable.
