Job summary

QCS Staffing seeks a Utilities Engineer in Ireland, Roscommon, on an initial 12-month contract in the Life Sciences sector. The successful candidate will support delivery of the project, ensuring reliable operation and compliance of black utility systems within a cGMP environment.

You will lead CQV strategy and execution for black utilities (chilled water, LPHW, steam, compressed air), contribute to maintenance strategy handover, and work with regulated manufacturing facilities to meet GMP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Process Engineering.
• Extensive experience with industrial plant utilities in regulated environments (cGMP).
• Experience supporting construction and commissioning on live sites.
• Familiarity with GMP requirements in regulated manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliable operation, compliance and lifecycle management of black utility systems in a cGMP environment.
• Monitor and improve system processes for efficiency, reliability and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for utility systems.

What You’ll Deliver

• As Utilities Engineer you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliable operation, compliance, lifecycle management and continuous improvement of Black utility systems within a cGMP environment.
• Monitor, review and update existing system processes and performance to improve efficiency, reliability, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards or vulnerabilities in utility systems and develop mitigation strategies, ensuring they meet operational requirements and industry standards.
• Lead CQV strategy and execution for black utilities (chilled water, LPHW, steam, compressed air), responsible for development of the maintenance strategy and for setting the handover requirements for black utility systems.

Experience required:

• A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Process Engineering.
• Extensive experience working directly with industrial plant utilities in heavily regulated (like cGMP) environments.
• Experience supporting construction and commissioning activities on live sites.
• Familiarity with GMP requirements and working in regulated manufacturing facilities.
